African First Ladies Visit Washington, DC

Two delegates from Leadership for Health Summit address the press

The First Ladies of Mozambique and Cape Verde continued their historic visit to the United States with a stop in Washington, DC. Her Excellency Maria da Luz Guebuza, the First Lady of Mozambique, and Her Excellency Adelcia Barreto Pires, the First Lady of Cape Verde, greeted the press in the nation's capital. They stressed the importance of partnerships in combating malaria, HIV and maternal mortality. The two women were also honored by the Global Health Council for their service.
